There is no alternative at this moment. Our reactors are underutilised for shortage of nuclear fuel. And there is a terrible power shortage. This will hamper growth and amount to chaos. At the pace of growth as we have now,any deceleration will bring a total chaos.

Nuclear energy from the reactors as per the N-deal will flow after a decade. So at 'the moment' no gain. In the long run comes -unprecedented inflation, price increase, increase in cost of production, loss of trade with foreign countries due to competition in price. Above all loan burden and perpetual bondage.

Funny and by the end of 2010 even the building work can not be finished leave alone installing the reactor. Dont comment with quarter knowledge, at least try to gain half knowledge.

Thats not true. Most of our existing reactors are working at 50% of their capacity. So we can see an immediate improvement in that situation once we get the NSG waiver. Also the existing uranium reserves can be directed to military reactors to produce weapons grade uranium and plutonium.

Only Tamil Nadu has some nuclear reactors; other states do not depend on it. Even if you close down all reactors it does not matter very much. Also, all Russian built reactors have enough fuel supply. These are all lies of the Slave Sikh that there is no fuel, there will not be any electricity etc etc. Nuclear power supplies only 2.6 percent of the total electricity supply and now these plants are all, except for one little one, made by Russia, which will supply fuel.
