We have to clearly distinguish between WHAT OUGHT TO BE THE POSITION OF THE SPEAKER and WHAT IS THE POSITION THE SPEAKER IS ACTUALLY HOLDING. The moment he said he does not want to vote along with BJP, it is evident that his sympathies lied elsewhere. If he were so concerned about his conscience, he ought to have quit his MP so there will be no role for him along side BJP.

yes you are right...
"Chatterjee had voiced his displeasure over the CPI-M voting against the United Progressive Alliance alongside the Bharatiya Janata Party." if he was true to the duties as speaker, he shouldnt have VOICED HIS DISPLEASURE OVER THE CPI(M) doing anything, isnt it....
truly an internal matter of CPI(M)... and he is not the first leader to be expelled from CPI(M)...

When Speaker says that he will not vote with a so called 'communal party', which is a recognised national party by the Election Commission, he is PARTISAN ! not neutral in approach, which he should.
