Somnath was MP for several years on behalf of commies and now when commies want him during distress hrs he sold himself to Congress thus @79 making huge sum and ditching his mother party! What a shame on him! Without commies he was nowhere!

Bala , be fair in your assessment ! Yes as someone whose political career was built on the support that he received from the CPI(M) he has by refusing to obey the party dictate proved to be tahnkless person . But I dont think his worst crtics would accuse him of having done that for money ! Misplaced loyalty to the Congress . Possible . For money impossible.

As someone was telling in rediff discussions,I clearly remember at one time CPM was deadly against Computerisation and the reasoning was that it will create unemployment. It is nice to hear what some senior CPM leaders say about their old stand on Computerisation. Now they are opposing Nuclear Deal. OK, let them give some alternatives also. Because our country badly needs more and more power.

He would have been respected if he resigned from his LS seat if he was so much against voting alongside the confidence motion. But I also feel that like many other communists, the speaker might not have taken or expected money in return. But you cannot ignore the saying "POWER CORRUPTS....."

I want to ask rajdeep and ashutosh so called (camcorder weilding)moral gaurdians (blackmailers)of society why cd has not been sent to speaker. has he forget the 1 km route to parliament he was boasting on ibn yesterday. or has ibn put the cd on sale
