Realignment of Indian politics
by Kris on Jul 23, 2008 05:46 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

This vote will have far reaching effect. I think that BSP and left will win most of the minority and poor section votes at the cost of congress.
BJP would continue its hold over middle class. As middle class grows so will BJP.
Congress support will erode. Rahul and Sonia's open support for US would shift minprity votes away from it. That would be a big loss. Middle class has been drifting away from congress for the last 20 years and the process would continue. They have no core constituency left except catholic Christians.

Yes, for poor its inflation, for middle class they will look for change and so I think congress in next elections would be in loss.
