I have tried hard to recollect if I could remember anybody in Indian or International History where a person of 82 age "clamouring so much for power", bringing country to a standstill, sacrificing self-respect (if any) by tying up with the lady (Maya) who had dumped them twice in UP, playing all (dirty) tricks in the book (like was done in Parliament yesterday-the currency notes), even crossing the decency limits...Somebody should tell him that in Hindu shastra, there is a stage in life after 75 where a real hindu person relinquishes all worldy pleasures and takes Vanvaas (goes to jungle). Now since he is such an ardent follower of Lord Ram, there can be no better Hindu than him. So he should immediately go to some forest to devote his remaining life peacefully to Lord Ram. May be in his next birth he can become a PM (as a Congressman of course).

If we went by your interpretation of Vanavasa, India would have not had two of it's best PMs- Vajpayee and Narasimha Rao. And if we just plump for any youth like Rahul-babu, then god save India. Indian men get wise very late, unlike western counterparts by the time they are out of parents' shadows and start life on their own they have lost at least 20 years. And besides performance not age should be the criteria be it films, Sports and especially politics- where wisdom counts above all.
