different angles
by indiman on Jul 24, 2008 12:34 AM   Permalink | Hide replies

This whoe rama sethu thing can be looked at from different viewpoints. I respect science and I am a hindu as well. But I dont beleive it is a sin to destroy this structure if it benefits mankind. This is because this isnt a useful structure. People cant go to middle of the sea to worship. If this project had not been announced 75% of the Indians wouldnt even know this existed. The discussion should be purely- Does this project cut the travel distance, diesel cost. Will this project help Chennai and Tuticorin ports challenge Colombo as the stopover port for ships going east west on the Indian ocean. These would be the questions I would be asking. No offence to all those religious fanatics.

don't call urself as hindu becuase u r not hindu.if just economic benefits of project has to be looked then why don't we sell all the temples or what's necessasity of place of workship. Why don't we build temple instead we can save the money and use it for other gr8 work of mankind like for building churches, masque and giving muslims and chritians maoney to goto mecca and vatican.
