What an English !
by Ratheesh PK on Jul 22, 2008 02:49 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

The headline 'Few people don't want us to catch up with China' given in the homepage is incorrect. This statement means "there is no one who doesnt want us to catch up with China". If the writer wanted to mean "there are some ppl who.." then the correct statement is "A few poeple dont want.."
Few-A few and Little-A little belong to the same league. It would be better if rediff does a grammar check before posting anything on to the homepage!
