Use your heads
by TSN Xumar on Jul 22, 2008 09:44 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

Most of the discussions are emotional outbursts screwing Karat. Answer the 2 basic questions

1. How much of our energy needs would be served by the Nuclear deal?

2. How old is the so called "latest technology" being offered to us?

Ans 1 : 6% of our energy need in 2020. So much ado about just 6% - thats it!

Ans 2: 2 of the reactors being offered by US are 40 year old. Is 40 year old reactors latest technology?

Bottomline: Congress fooled the nation. The guys who are using foul emotive language in this forum - should calm down and think - how badly had congress fooled the nation.

The nuke deal is good if it addressed at least 20% of our energy need. The nuke deal is good if we get the latest technology - we are getting none of this.

here are three questions for you
1) Do you have all the figures of all the avaliable renewable and non-renewable resources available to India now and in the future

2) Are you for or against Nuclear deal and give reasons for both

3) Did the government say nuclear energy will be the only source of energy India will pursue in future

Mr Boon, reaching to 6% in 12 years is 0.5% a year, that means to reach 50% will take 100 years. That also with 40 year old reactors sold to India:-;

You are day dreaming, fooling yourself. Manmohan Singh has fooled many people and you are the one.

If we generalise growth by annualising how you are doing, then Infosys/RIL etc would not have the growth what they have achieve. Once you achieve 0.5%, next year the aim will be for 1%, that growth multiplies. You are the one getting fooled by opposing change. Change especially on strategic matters is a must, one should encourage otherwise you will also become Khadoos like commies or Devagowda.

Nuclear deal will give enough fuel for firing thorium(we have largest thorium reserves in the world) reactors, which in long term will free the country from foreign fuel needs. No nuclear deal, no thorium reactors and no electricity for your descendants.

We have to really think long term for the progress of our country

I have a question, If we achieve 6% successfully by 2020, can we make it 50% in 2050 rather than having nothing? Correct me if iam wrong.

I don't know from where you have validated the above data my friend.

neither I am in Favor of Congress or any other party.

Even if its about 6% it does matters.

Also after 2020 it can grow too.

And about technology, i think our scientist are good enough to use this technology & make it more better.

5th fastest computer processer is one of the example..

So don't doubt indians
