NUCLEAR DEAL
by PR Swamy on Jul 22, 2008 09:53 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

Indian government survived from No confidence Motion. Are they going ahead with Nuclear Deal?
Are they not having confidence on our scientists? Now it is clear just one vote to survive and one vote to go ahead for any crucial issues like nuclear deal.

Just a few crores spent on MPs to buy Indian Democracy... Very sad state of affairs.

Congress is writing a new Definition for Indian Democracy.

With regards
PR Swamy

swamy, understand that scientists are the one who wrote the agreements of this deal. Not the politicians. Again there are some communist and communal scientists who dont want India to prosper

we arent buying any nuclear technology. we are interested in nuclear fuel.
So, the argument of not having confidence in our scientists doesnt hold.

Abt the few crores spent on MP's, it is you and the people who elected the MPs in the first place. If you didnt want MPs that take bribes, u shuldnt have elected them.

That is, assuming MPs took any bribes which is have serious doubts.

we are buying the tech as well...the deal will be a good starting point for India to build thorium based reactors(as India has abundance of Thorium)/
But the fuel is as important, and why are people forgetting that the deal will enable India to by fuel from 45 countries which form the NSG and not just the US!!!

why do you want Indian scientists to "re-discover" the technologies which are already being used elsewhere in the world???
Indian scientists are no doubt very capable but its plain stupid to work on the things which we can get directly. What would be much better is that they use their time in tweaking and evolving the technology which is already existing. People like you are the sad thing about our country. Instead of trying to find out the exact impact of the agreement you just utter what ever you like just to keep your faith in any particular party(this goes for supporters of both UPA and NDA).
Whats more sad then a MP saying in parliament that he does not know S**T about the deal or its impacts, he is just following his party orders.

We have some world class scientists, but left to our scientists alone we will be lagging behind inversely proportional to developments in world technology.

Hi all,

I know there will be slanging and cursing against the communists, mainly because REDIFF or any site on internet is mainly crowded with the capitalists who would prefer to buy thier wife a 250 crore aircraft than trying to look into the problems of our country, the people who would prefer to buy out india for 3 crore each than making it a perfect democracy,
Today I am down and out by even thinking that my country doesnt have a voice of its own, people fight among themselves just as they did before East India Company came to India and took control of us, Common my fellow citizens dont go by the general feeling, start thinking deeply, I am not against the Nuclear energy being used , but cant US help Indian companies producing on thier own if they had to help, Is it mandatory for US companies like GE entering Indian lifeline (energy) and taking control of each and evry thing in India?, along with US visiting each and every nuclear reactors to cross check India isnt making nuclear weapons? Common people may be you are not supporting communists or any party but cant yu even think by yourselves what is happening and what might happen.

Regards,
Your brother,
Sarnab

The government should do one thing - Never give the power generated from nuclear energy to Bengal and Kerala. The only thing that left does is that oppose anything that comes from America and embrace anything that comes from China even if they grab land and wage war. Wonder why Commies keep quiet when the Chinese encroached our country and when they claim Arunachal is their territory.
