The only real winners would be the Americans who would benefit from the entire fiasco Remember the meeting with G.Bush and GE chairman along the Singh GE gets to make around $900 billion We the tax payers to Indian Government would have shell out even more just to pacify them Again Indian government did not trust the Nuclear scientists that created BHABHA or the SARABHAI and many more such Reactors It would have to be dependent on the NSG to power the entire country Only GOD knows where this PM got the idea from DOES HE NOT BELIEVE IN INDIANS TO ACHIEVE WHAT AMERICANS HAVE for that matter

So does that mean electricity for all!! Perhaps you should take a visit in the villages of UP, Bihar... Then you would know... Only then 900 billion $ would feel less...

Don't forget that our economy is growing today due to the upstart given by Mr Singh as the FM under the Narasimha Rao govt. With all your population we can barely maintain our nuclear reactors let alone build news for power-generation. The technology for these and building them is not going to come from within. Why crib so much when we know that none of the mobile phones or PCs used are Indian in making. Remember Bhabha said - No power is costlier that no power.
