MMS LK ADVANI OR MAYAWATI - REMEMBER THE COUNTRY COMES FIRST
by Pradip on Jul 23, 2008 12:29 AM   Permalink | Hide replies

On personal front, I resemble more like an independent as in the US. I am glad that an elected Govt is not being pulled down because of clash of egoes, vested interest, filmsy ideological moorings, political overtures, personal animosity or ambition. On the other hand my heart gets heavy to witness the unruly behaviour from a section of MPs whose primary mandate is to strengthen the hands of indian democratic polity. Both Prakash and Advaniji have expressed anguish over the alleged corrupt practices indulged in garnering support for the trust vote. But BOTH ARE PRIMARILY RESPONSIBLE FOR ENGINEERING AN EARLY DOWNFALL OF AN ELECTED GOVT, MORE SO, KEEPING IN VIEW THE IMMINENT ELECTION WITHIN FEW MONTHS TIME. These kinds of opportunities embolden the hands of racketeers and fixers which escalate their greeds and manoevering power. IT TRIGGERS UP NUISANCE VALUES. The PM was not allowed to speak even- this is beyond all decency and decorum that parliamentary democracy certainly demands for. I expect a strong condemnation from the PM on the bribery issue. When this scenario is viewed in the US, the kind of image projection is obvious. The Pakistanis will say, oh that's Indians are proud of, the Chinese will say, we would have given exemplary punishment. THE LESSON LEARNT IS "NO CONFIDENCE MOTION SHOULD BE USED JUDUCIOUSLY, ONE CAN STALL THE PROCEEDINGS, LUNG OUT THEIR OUTBURSTS, TAKING PEOPLE TO THE STREETS, SO MANY OPTIONS ARE BEING LEFT OUT. WE SHOULD NOT ELECT DUBIOUS PEOPLE.

This is high time the Seniors behave decently in the parliament. Some of the young guns have spoken with lots of passion and love for a United India. Both Omar Abdallah and Rahul Gandhi deserve a special mention, I am not agreeing or disputing their arguments but their approach was very encouraging. Hopefully with emergence ofa resurgent India we would be able to mustera strength in our parliamentary proceedings with arrival of young talents with lots of passion for land and people rather than looking for perpetuity of clanish or parochial interest or use politics as an instrument for amassing wealth for future progenies. That does not exclude the right of a politician's children to enter politics but that shoulod be based on merits and their ability to deliver to the nation. The days of the prototype topiwallahs must be ended, the public must elect people with intellect, patriotism and lots of passion for doing good stuff. INDIA HAS THE POTENTIAL TO BECOME NUMERO UNO WHERE DEMOCRACY PLAYS A DECISIVE ROLE. CONSPIRACY IS NO DEMOCRACY, TRANSPARENCY IS. LETS BE TRANSPARENT IN OUR DEALING WITH LAND AND PEOPLE OF THIS GREAT NATION. COME ON YOUNG BRIGADES IN ALL POLITICAL PARTIES, ONE OF THE MAIN REASON OF SYSTEMIC FAILURE IN COMMUNIST COUNTRIES IS RELATED TO GERONTOCRACY.NO GERONTOPHOBIA, EXPERIENCE GENERATES WISDOM, THERE SHOULD BE A HARMONIOUS MIX, RIGHT NOW IT IS LOPSIDED, THAT DEMOGRAPHY MUST BE CHANGED FOR A YOUNG NATION- THE SILVER LINING IS HERE
