I am wondering why in the world did Abdul Kalam favored the deal. Why did he not notice what Rajeev is saying? Perhaps Rajeev is pulling it bit too much? Whom to believe? My gut says APJ Kalam and his blessing to the deal is good for the nation.

Moon - You sound about right. I have seen Kalams view on NDTV regarding this agreement and he had favorable views. Based on views and expertise from someone of Kalam's stature - I have no doubts that the deal is good for the nation.
