Only idiots will say that MMS does only what Sonia tells him. It is another story that if that is the truth, then hats off to MMS for listening to and acting on good advise.

I too initially thought it is idiotic.
But i remember reading an article (obviously not written by bjp supporters) where mms himself was told to be admitted how much he owes to indira gandhi and he didn;t even think about why to do so when it comes to political decision, when indira gandhi asked him to do it.
I believe MMS is a very nobble man, a scholar, just that he doesn't have the confidence of a successful leader. As Imran Khan notably said about a cricket captain (I guess about ganguly or shoaib malik), a captain has top perform, and get a position in the team based on his performance to be a good captain. Only then he will be confident of his action and only then he would get respect from the team.
MMS hardly won any significant election, he is PM today just because of gandhi family. When one knows that he don't deserve it, or he is at other's mercy, he can never be confident of his moves.
