Mr. Somnath chatterjee had done great job by not resigning as speaker in this difficult time for the nation. Speaker's post should remain above party line. He has taken the courages decision by not bow down on his party pressure. Yesterday, result of his decision had been seen by whole nation, how he handled all MP's.

what difficult situation you are talking for?? Somath Chatterjee is an elected member of Parliament from a national political party. He is bound to abide the decision of the party and he knows it very well. If he is defying the party whip and policies he is not following party policies and he is bound to resign from the post he got alongwith his party membership!!! That is the way of functioning!!! You cannot tell that Speaker is getting elected from a citizen of the country who is not contested any election!!! Yes of course, we can agree this argument if he was elected as an Independent in the Lok Sabha Election and then nobody will dare to finger a point on him.

Because of the impending commonwealth duties he is resigning on 12th. He has to keep some international commitments.Don't be a mean minded fellow. He is thinking of INDIA .First he is an Indian then a CPM member. He has not sold his ego and personality to anybody. And all the time a kid like KARAT is calling the shots. How can you listen to a person who is not beyond JNU politic. It is unfortunate that the seniors in CPM has allowed a kid to dictate.
