Trust Vote Debate - An Analysis (contd..)
by jamsheed abumohammed on Jul 21, 2008 09:11 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

Advani listed the failures of the Govt for the past four yhears and two months. He enquired there were so many terrorists attacks inthe country and the Govt has not taken any action on them. But he was silent on his own case relating to the demolitiono Babri Masjid in which he was criminally accused. Secondly he had nothing to say about the failure of his Govt to take action against the criminally liable Modi for his role in the Gujarat riots. The MPs who spoke subsequently questioned him. He said NDA's single achievement was the laying of national four-lane highways and chided the govt for doing nothing for highways and rural ways. But when the achievement was read out by T.R. Balu,Minister, that during the period of UPA rule, National Highways and rural roads were laid 50% more than what was done during NDA rule. He had to cover his face unable to answer to those statistics. He was not seen inthe parliament later on. The treasury benches reeled out the statistics to counter all the allegations. Unfortunately nobody seems to be aware ofthe difference betwen Hyde Act and 123 Agreement. Praful Patel,Aviation Minster, was categorical that Hyde Act is applicable to US only and that 123 Agreement India specific where Hyde Act applicability was never mentioned. 123 Agreements were earlier signed with China, France and Russia. But the MPs were so ill-informed that nobody seems to have taken pain to read the Act particularly when it was debated in the House.Ignorance no excuse for them.

This is a good analysis of whole situation but the time is now to leave the history behind and do everything which is best for the country and its all citizens.Poor people are suffering most and getting exploited. we should unitedly work to defeat the forces who are bent upon looting the public resources.
