Abstaining from voting is not so great a thing nor good in the interests of the nation which is going through such a political turmoil that country had never witnessed so far.By absenting herself on that fateful day,Mamata is doing a great injustice to the nation. It is not a characteristic of wise. She needs to choose a lesser evil in case she is not thoroughly convinced either ways. One vote matters & may change the sequence of political vents that follow. It is hoped that wiser counsels will prevail on her, belatedly, at least now & Mamata participates in voting! It is this trend which widely prevalent in Indian voter-mostly in middle class & rich that is reducing the mandate given to all the people elected that make democracy meaningless & non-reflective & non-representative, exactly of the will of the whole people of the country collectively.Mamata is just proving like a typical mediocre Indian voter despite being a seasoned politician who should have been well aware of the value of a vote-so much so on such occasions.By absenting, she is going to fail to represent the people who elected her.People, for sure, will not excuse her & think twice before they consider her as their choice once again in any of the future elections. She should shun her haughtiness.Let her be not under a false impression that she is sacrificing some thing in a bid to express anger against some one.She can settle the scores later.First let her participate in voting;she can cast according to her choice.
