IS THE MUSLIM INTEREST DIFFERENT FROM THE NATIONAL INTEREST
by vspi on Jul 21, 2008 11:30 AM   Permalink | Hide replies

Muslims keep talking of anti- USA stance and are supposedly anti to anything/ anybody that hurts Muslims anywhere in the world. I would like to ask all muslims on this forum: "WHOSE SIDE WUD INDIAN MUSLIMS TAKE IF THERE'S A WAR BETWEEN INDIA & A MUSLIM COUNTRY???? Going by that logic they wud side the Muslim country as they believe, worldwide all muslims must stand united, throwing national interest to winds.

So you must take the nuclear deal as a grand benefit to our developing nation which has to pay huge forex reserves to gulf nations for their oil. Why are you opposing it if the nuclear deal comes from the Americans? Doesn't 90% of the Islamic world depend on the Americans for technology, arms support etc. Even the Saudi Arabia (which houses the twin mosques) also has 90% of the Army manned by Americans. Pakistan, Bangladesh, Malayasia (largest muslim population) all live on American technology and are consdered American a$$ lickers. Why is the Al queda fighting American and the wester world using the wester technology (guns, missiles, RDX, tanks etc.) they must stick to their islamic tradition nd fight with swords & daggers as it used to happen during your prophet's days?

Dear Nawaz, Your answer is the correct answer. Unfortunately not all your muslim brothers think like you. A small percentage of muslims even refuse to sing the Indian national anthem coz they say its Anti-Islam. If you are an Indian and do not sing the National Anthem, then it will cause pain & distrust for sure. As I said earlier not all muslims refuse to sing the national anthem .... maybe just 1% of muslims feel so radically .... 99% muslims respect & believe in the National Anthem ..... yet when this 1% of muslims refuse to sing the national anthem ..... the other 99% mulsims remain much too silent on the stupid activities of just 1% muslims. If the main stream muslims start speaking out against the 1% radical muslims, then RSS & Bajrang Dal will automatically have no issue to raise against the muslim community.

If our country is unjustly attacked we have a duty to defend it irrespective of religious group. But at no time our religion allows wars of aggression.
