We should carry troops in armoured heavy vehicle with weight atleast greater than 10 tons to ward off IEDs. In Iraq, close to 800 soldiers died coz of IEDs (which in fact is very effective weapon for guerilla warfare-Recent Naxalite attack). Now they started using trucks (Cougar) with 14 tons weight. Result- 200 IED explosion-Not a single scratch on human life. In Indian Case, it will be very effective (for Kashmir and Naxalite affected areas. But we need to strengthen bridges which can be done to save lives.
