If the deal means breaking the Arab bondage, then let me tell you something. India's biggest export partner is UAE. If India imports crude from the Middle East, it refines and sell petrol and diesel back to these very countries. Reliance Jamnagar is totally dependent on Middle Eastern crude. Agreed that all your other points are valid. But you see, half the populace is illiterate and the other half is blind. People like Shahid Siddiqui (turncoat) & Deve Gowda (sleeping beauty) will decide the fate of 115 crore Indians. God save us.

h Inder, It seems your analysis is concern only profits we are going to get due to the deal. But if there is more oppertunities which will provide the same benifits at lower cost, don't you go for alternatives?

Sri. Inder Krishen, Good points. I cannot understand why the GoI never thought of briefing the Public and Press on these very same points. A "White Paper" circulated soon after the MMS-Bush meeting signing the 123 Agreement would have been beneficial. May be there has been something. I am an "average" reader of news, and I am not aware of any sustained and relevant information campaign on this crucial step.
