India is a democratic country and we choose our representatives. How come, a mere policy maker of a political party can issue whip and overrule the decisions of an individual. The whip should be termed as illegal in democracy. It is Hippocratic to see such things are accepted in our constitution and supported by Anti Defection law..!!!..

Issuing whip is not a solution of horse trading. The persons responsible to issue whip may be corrupted. He is the master and after getting money and can direct the party for his self benifits.

That is correct. There is no reason to issue a whip, unless there a set of unethical members who would switch just for money or political mileage??. But the irony is that democracy has to carry ahead with this baggage or could take alternate measures like enforce some quality mandatory trainings on Ethics, Patriotism to country, party or by some other means, but don't use a whip in a democracy or lets not call ourselves democratic!!!

the whole concept of democracy is a master-slave relationship. a corrupt core continues in power with choppings and changings each time, while people are foolishly led to believe they are 'empowered'. People just end up paying taxes or the money to survive! The leeches just keep on sucking blood. democracy does not imply freedom. it is actually an undertaking to enslavement.

therefore your assumption of any individual liberty for a political person is futile. The party slave has to follow his master's instructions or become a renegade at his own peril.
