state of the nation
by Madhav Ambedkar on Jul 18, 2008 06:36 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

This is indeed a sad state of the nation. No matter what our political affiliations are-one thing is sure-that today the grand idea of India has become hostage to myopic vision of regional parties who would do anything for frivilous issues like renaming an airport, minister post, creating a new state or reservation to a particular group etc.The mainstream parties Congress and BJP must work towards encouraging pan-Indian view amongst the people which in turn would be accelarated by strenghtening of two party system in the country.Wake up people before its late!!

Madhav Ambedkar, we are awake but does it matter? The ones in the all important positions are sleeping now having had a great party at our expense....

Wondering why food prices are rising? I told you they were partying for the past 4 years.....thousands of tonnes of food and beverages were diverted there....no wonder we feel the pinch :-)

Though you make an important point, I dont agree with you. Development of states like AP, TN, MH etc. happened only due to regional parties. Also, Guj and Kar. developed when even national parties got into "regional" mode.

So, ask people to kick out opportunistic parties or more importantly the corrupt MPs.

This is what you get when MMS is not elected by people and people vote for Pappu yadav! We, middle class lose the right to complain when we dont vote! .. We can see that in recent b'lore elections where voting % is just 44
