Which sane person wants to adopt a sick baby in his advanced age?With hardly less than an year to go for close of the term of the parliament AND a chaotic economic condition characterised by spiralling prices and galloping inflation, BJP is not a fool to form the govt for the left over period of few months.So,there is nothing so great or sacrificial on its part to say so.BJP too is not sure of securing even simple majority in the ensuing elections and hence is talking in terms of NDA govt right from now onwards.It is desperate and is trying to sling every possible mud on Congress to cover up its diffidence.Each of what it is thinking as a strategic step unfortunately is turning advantageous to Congress.And this time too,by opposing the deal which,in fact,was initiated by it only originally,it is sending wrong signals & making people believe that they are the stumbling block in the way of national interest & creating hurdles to the govt in whatever little the latter wants to do.Suffice will this for the Congress to reap the benefit of sympathy wave which alone helped its success at least more than thrice previously. There is nothing wrong in bringing in & implementing the N.Deal although it did not form part of the minimum common programme by the UPA govt since no such taboos need be entertained to do some thing good for the nation.If election is the only solution,it could as well wait for few months instead of thrusting interim polls and causing colossal expenditure.
