N-Deal
by Geeta Katti on Jul 18, 2008 01:52 AM   Permalink | Hide replies

Manmohan Singh is not seeing the future of India that is economically strong and militarily formidable. He is seeing India as sub-servant to US in the time to come. What sort of economist is he ? Loosing a pound for the saking earning a penny !!! Future generations will not forgive him for this blunder. It is strange how Dr Abdul Kalam is supporting N-Deal !!! It may not be true.

No. On the contrary future generations shall not forgive those voting against the Govt seeking confidence vote on 'Nuclear Deal' issue. NDA is out of its wits not seeing the reason. Dr Kalam who was NDA's choice for the President post has endorsed the Deal. Those who are well read also say India cannot do without the Nuclear Deal. Atomic Energy Commission chief Dr Kakodkar too says India cannot do without the Deal as san deal we would lag behind in power generation which would be a retrograde step in India's march towards becoming world economic powersays. San the Deal India would require to import 1.9 billion tons of coal by 2050 - which would require collosal sum. Interestingly it was the BJP only that initiated the Nuclear Deal. Now BJP has gone sane going against it just to defeat the Govt in power. The fact is that BJP cannot consume the idea of Congress taking laurels for the Deal initiated by it. A referendum on Nuclear Deal will clearly be in its favour than against it.

In as far as CPI-CPM combine is concerned they are in any case non-progressive. In their case it is more of Karat-Bardan's ego that is coming its way. Many progressive communists amongst them would favour the Deal. I won't be surprised if some communists too vote in favour of the Deal.

Ha Ha Ha.. When MMS started economic liberisation and put India to WTO, ev one said he is selling India to world companies. Indian companies will be diminished. But today we are part of global economy. Like same way we need to be part of Global nuclear trade to get in this business and get energy n technology.
