Hi Krishna Kanth, first of all you need to understand that this deal does not stop India from producing the nuclear weapons. The other thing is India want power, which is need of every Indian. In my house we get 12 hrs power cut and guess that is the case in almost all villages. Look at the productivity of industries it’s gone down drastically in past few years. Look at the farming sector, every farmer need power, look at the terrible condition of farm and villagers. Guyes, as far as weapons concern, I don’t think it is the need of time. Today if India has any reorganisation in the world is not because of its nuclear capabilities but its industries, education, farming and economic growth. I do understand we need nuclear capabilities to produce the weapons but it is not the need of time. I am BJP supporter, it does not mean I can support blindly, need to understand micro economics of the policies. Also note no one in India is ready for election at present moment because of big issues like inflation, farmer death, poor monsoon, and poor economic growth. If BJP would have been in power, they would have been in favour of deal they are opposing it just because they want to be in government at the cost of poor and miserable people. The way Congress had handled the economic situation; I don’t think BJP can handle it. BJP was in power, what did they do? if you look at the performance of the governments, where BJP in power you will notice the difference, Gujarat- Godhra issue, Rajas

Please read my long post in 'Non-communal BJP? You must be kidding'
Listen the CNN news. See the time space they give preaching against nuclear energy. Heart of heart every country is against it. Then why should we go for that. Vehementally arguing for it?Capacity addition is necessary every country. But not at the expense of safety. After all the expected addition as per the deal is only 10% of the total installed capacity. I doubt very much whether we can achieve this target. 40000MW in 20 years. Remember it is NUCLEAR PLANTS and not multi storied buildings. Strongly feel there is a chance of second hand junks being dumped in India by this deal. Indian rule allows to import second hand equipments. I do not know whether there is any clause regarding 'nuclear waste'.
