Somenath chatterjee

My questions to your enlightened readers are

1) A person who has entered the LOK Sabha on a party ticket, how can he claim to be an independent person ?
2) A person who is supposed to act against erring MPs who do not toe their party line.. in this case what will be the remedy for the CPI M
if he does not resign.
3) Was the Speaker not aware of the political tension between the UPA and left group for a couple of months wherein the General Secretary of the CPIM has time and again threatened to withdraw support and vote against UPA Government. Why the Speaker kept quiet all these days so also his protege at Kolkata, Subhas Chakraborty. Why they did not take up these issues in the inner party forum and sort out the issues before the leftists withdrew support.

The above questions need answers.

Though I have personally no liking for CPIM or Prakash Karat, Chatterjee is unnecessarily making an issue of it.

Dear Rama,

Answers to your questions:

1) Please go through the our contitution. Speaker must a member of Parliament who is elected on a party ticket.Right. Now he is elected as Speaker by all MPs(includes opposition).Right. He then becomes the coodinator in the parliament who must be independent. ok Mr.Ramakrishna.

2) What do you about Mr. Somnath Chatterjee? Do you know his background? He has been elected best MP three times a row. Do you know this?

Here I can say that CPIM must not force Mr.Chatterjee to resign because Speaker is above the party politics.

3)Do you know the party stucture of CPIM(oops !!! I forget you don't have any personal liking for CPIM)? There is a central committee ,whose general secretary and the members decide what are agendas. If I am right niether Mr. Somanth Chatterjee nor Mr. Subash Chakraboty are the members of central committee. So they are protesting niether aganist withdraw support from UPA nor aganist to Vote against UPA.
