123 agreement contd

PLUTONIUM

Presently 35% of Plutonium is used to produce Atomic Bombs. After signing the Agreement, we will be allowed to use only 10%. Who are those to restrict the usage of our natural resource ? That is though you are capable of cooking & eating 10 idlis as your breakfast, you are allowed only 3 idlis henceforth. How can it be? Why should we accept this?

THORIUM

As told by Dr.APJ, we have abundant Thorium. In fact we are the 2nd largest producer of Thorium next only to Australia. India has to explore this further for producing power. For your information, in South India - particularly around Kanyakumari, the availability of
Thorium is abundant.

INDIA-IRAN-CHINA

USA does not like the amicable relationship between India-Iran and also India-China. If India-China relationship gets stronger, then both these can rule the Eastern Part of the Globe which USA wants to break as per their divide & rule.

By signing this agreement, USA wants India to depend on it for producing power which is going to be a crucial factor in future. There is a talk of bringing Natural Gas from Iran to India with a big pipeline project. USA doesn't like this proposal.

Atomic Power Technology

Whether power is produced or Bomb is produced, using Atomic power without spoiling the infrastructure and without allowing the radiation is always under threat. Moreover preserving the wastes coming out of Atomic Power Plants is expensive & unsafe.

What is your problem with 123 agreement? If India conducts Nuclear Test then there is a possibility that the Americans pull out of the deal. So what? We have not done any new tests in the last 10 years. We will not do any new test in the next 10 yrs.
I dont understand your point on Plutonium.. what idlis..eat 20 idlis if you want. nobody is stopping you.

Thorium: We have enough Thorium but do we have Thorium reactors ? We have been trying to make Thorium reactors for last 20 years without any result.
India-Iran-China: What has china done for India in the last 60 yrs? China is not a country India can trust. If India doesnt develop further China will Kill us. Therefore we need this nuclear deal.

Do you know what is situation in India cities? There is a power cut every day for 3 hours even in cities with more than 2 Lakh people. We dont have any other solution for electricity except Nuclear power. Therefore all the risks associated with it are acceptable. For your information there have been very few cases of nuclear plant accidents. Its a Risk we have to take.

Agreement is for 40 yrs.
Pokhran P-1 and P-2 were done with a gap of 25 yrs Only due Moles.

If You want Technology Advancement and Thus Sophistication and Cost-Cuttings, Tests are a Must.
Like in any Field, As Tech progresses, There will be an Avalanche of Ideas. Which can be confirmed only thru TESTING.
So, The idea that we won't need tests in the future is Foolish. It only suits to be a Statement in the International Political Arena.
Signing an Agreement and Binding outselves would be Foolish.

Power Cuts TRUTH:

All Experts are Clearly Saying that There are Opportunities for Abundant Power Supply But Govt is Purposefully Keeping the Facilities Idle Only to Create an Atmosphere for the N-Deal.

CON-Gress is Cheating India.
