I would like to say in the initial stage itself India should keep away from the agreement. Now we are really trapped. We are not in a position to say NO to this agreement. If we say NO we may get isolated from developed nations. At any cost a country like US will never give such an opportunity unless and until they get a ver big monoploy advantage/to bring others under their feet. India will become a strong nations by 2010, even US says. Why? US is mostly controlled by corporates included is OIL giants. India is also a place where southside attched to the Indian Ocdean seashore where OIL enrichment is there at high level.This is known to US very well. And INDIA has already an agreement with US saying that for oil and other resources India has to depend US.And this agreement is going to finish by 2010. After that India can explore their own oil from Indian Ocean THUS INDIA WILL BECOME A RICH COUNTRY. To avoid this in the name of Atomic Energy where HYDE ACT (will ban exploring oil,natural resources indias own facility) strictly makes India to depend on US, US is trying to trap Inia for another 40 years. That's the reason US is attacking Iran and opposed India to sign for Gas supply from Iran.
At any cost we must keep away from signing with US. or Govt should avoid the term of depending US for OIL.

This deal is not good for India at all .I hope these fools at the centre will have the foresight to not go ahead with this disaster of a deal. US wants to push this deal (especially Bush) because, they understand the non viability of the nuclear power as a source in the future. They are actively engaged currently in fullfledged Alternative energy research (solar, wind and bio) as they see where the future lies. And the decrepit and soon to be outdated nuclear technology (which is crude, eco unfriendly and dangerous, as well as lower yeilds and high expense) is to be discarded and sold to developing country like India. But they can do this only while there is still a good resale value for this which won't be for too long, which they realize as developing countries are fast catching up and hence the push to get this bill ratified. As I see it, only china and Communists ( and now BJP which is ofcourse doing it only to go against congress) are the real friend of the poor and common folk of India. Think calmly and in a detached manner free from your own selfish interests and benefits that this deal might bring you personally or your immediate family in US for just a few more years left for you to live in this world and that too as miserable third class citizens. You see, this deal is not about ship abandoning IT coolies hiding in foreign burrows but this is about the plight,hopes and aspirations of the poor, rural and common folk of my beloved motherland - Whom you have forgotten.
Dear! Socalled Developed nations have a very fastly Dwindling Economies 'as well as' Soceities. Don't Bother abt Isolating from Them.
Bankruptcies of US Corporates are being Suppressed for the Time being due to US Elections. Believe Me, You will listen to Huge Bankruptcies once the Elections in US are Over. US failed in Afghanistan and Iraq. If US fails even in Indo-US Nuke Deal, US will be Gone Once forever from the Lead Role.
You have said a very True point that There is a Lot of Oil and Mineral Wealth along Our CoastLine. Thorium is 'also' one.
All People Must Understand That a fall of Gaint Economy like US is not a Big Thing.
Mind It, India's Economy was 25.5% of WorldGDP in 1875. By 1890s We have Apolitical People like Vivekananda speaking about Abject Poverty across India. Our GDP was less than 1% of World GDP. And Recall, the European Economies started growing only since 1860s.
So, Downfall of Dollar/USA will Not take Much Time. ONLY THING IS, DON'T RESIST ITS FREE FALL. Once Dollar Depreciates, US Economy will also Fall along with it. Once That happens US Influence over the World Also will happen. That will stop the finances of these Leftist Militias & Eco-Human Rights Activists And There will be Faster Development In India.
This Indo-US Nuke Deal if done will Not help India Much. Moreover, It will help rejuvenate its Hegemony over the World. Reject this N-Deal. (I am not a Pro-grace-ive.)
