This deal is not good for India at all .I hope these fools at the centre will have the foresight to not go ahead with this disaster of a deal. US wants to push this deal (especially Bush) because, they understand the non viability of the nuclear power as a source in the future. They are actively engaged currently in fullfledged Alternative energy research (solar, wind and bio) as they see where the future lies. And the decrepit and soon to be outdated nuclear technology (which is crude, eco unfriendly and dangerous, as well as lower yeilds and high expense) is to be discarded and sold to developing country like India. But they can do this only while there is still a good resale value for this which won't be for too long, which they realize as developing countries are fast catching up and hence the push to get this bill ratified. As I see it, only china and Communists ( and now BJP which is ofcourse doing it only to go against congress) are the real friend of the poor and common folk of India. Think calmly and in a detached manner free from your own selfish interests and benefits that this deal might bring you personally or your immediate family in US for just a few more years left for you to live in this world and that too as miserable third class citizens. You see, this deal is not about ship abandoning IT coolies hiding in foreign burrows but this is about the plight, hopes and aspirations of the poor, rural and common folk of my beloved motherland - Whom you have forgotten.

This deal is not good for India at all? So you made a statement. Have you even read the text of the 1-2-3 Agreement? If so, what clauses concern you?
I am sure knickerwallahs just take cues from BJP spokesmen - do not read the text of the agreement.

To everyone know the facts before talking trash like Jay .
Do u guys know
1 .france's Électricité de France (EDF) country's main electricity generation and distribution company — manages the country's 59 nuclear power plants
2 。 As of 2004, these plants produce 99.8% of both EDF's and France's power production (of which much is exported)
3 。France is the world's largest net exporter of electric power, exporting 18% of its total production (about 100 TWh) to Italy, the Netherlands, Britain, and Germany, and its electricity cost is among the lowest in Europe.
SO JAY TELL ME IN WHICH WAY NUCLEAR POWER IS NON-VIABLE ?? if u're talking about the cost factor yeah it's expensive but not once we start mass production and u tell which project whatever it nature maybe doesnt require huge capital ?? u Dont want the nuclear deal to go through but u dont mind we buyin oil to produce electricity for 140$/Barrel transpotation fee ?? its gonna hit 150/Barrel soon . where's the logic in it ? know the facts the speak and if havce no clue about whats it about try to learn about it then speak .And if u're china-biased y dont u go there and live ? noone wants u here to be frank ..and About hopes and aspirations of poor in which way their hopes and aspirations would be affected if the nuclear deal go through ? Stop acting like a messiah of poor . Hey my friend i think its u who need start thinking in a detached manner .
