BJP and the Nuclear Deal
by rajesh prajapati on Jul 15, 2008 09:05 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

Venkaiah Naidu in the last line in the above article states that we are opposed to the nuclear deal in its present form, but does not specify what or why! In fact, none of the BJP leaders have ever stated that or mentioned what is it that they object specifically and would like the govt of India to change! Is it because they don't know and are opposing for the sake of opposition ?

As per the BJP, it is opposing the fact that intrusive inspections are to be agreed to and the fact that no more nuclear testing can happen.

If it is true, then the deal is to be opposed.

You yourself pointed the problem. The deal has not been discussed or disclosed to anyone. The govt is ready to discuss it with NSG, IAEA or all other foreign countries but is not ready to table it in parliament which should be the supreme body in any democracy.
Why doesnt govt come clean and publish draft of agreements they are planning to reach? Because they have a lot to hide?

Venky trying to be oversmart. Thinks everybody other than knickerwalas do not understand their duplicity. In his quest for PM' chair, 82 year old budhavoo has lost his marbles.
