Tirupati
by Vikram on Jul 14, 2008 11:06 AM   Permalink | Hide replies

Tirupati has all the ingredients to become the Jerusalem of Hinduism, center of future Hindu spiritual renaissance. It's the richest and the most visited holy place in the world. Christian missionaries should be kept a thousand miles away from it.

Dear Vikram,

Not Tirupati buth this scheme were it without reservations by the brahmin priests indicated in the article has the potential to make Tirupathi the world centre for Hinduism.

However, should the reservations by the brahmins not acquisence to the genuine concerns of RPI, then it would become the most notorious blemish on real hinduism.

Stop them or guide them, please. I am in no position to.

IN fact, what you say is true. But the reality is far from it. There are christian conversionists who were caught red handed trying to distribute pamphlets about christianity in the viscinity of the Holy temple itself. Tht happened because they know that the present government is pro christian and will not raise a finger against them. This is deplorable. I am not against christians or christianity. The shameless attempts at proselytization is pathetic and deplorable. It should be stopped by at any cost.

The five major religions of this world have a sound doctrine and sensibility. They nor their Gods need be concerned about missionaries or mullahs.
It is in the basic impartation (no no I am not stating the stress is on legends more than scriptures) that Hinduism falls short on (again no no to the obsessive roting of the entire Koran). Since this cannot start in the home (parents and elders) of the illiterate poor (not only or mostly low castes), it is up to local community leaders to take the initiative or unbiased women forums. Temples buildings (vicinity yes) are the wrong place for discources if these are by upper caste do gooders or priests.
That and that only is the sole cause of Hinduism losing out. For the Koran and Bible do not say anything more or extra than what is written in the Veda's and Geetha.
Get rid of that ugly caste and stop condescending to your imaginary lower castes and the world will come knocking on hinduism's door. It is serious introspection i.e. required and not obsession or fanaticism.
The missionary conversions are hollow and can be countered by good example and patient hearings any time. Those who are scared of missionaries are lesser men than the missionaries and are belittling their faith and God.

However, the best answer for those who distribute pamphlets withIN the premises of the temple, is with the Bajrang Dal. Let those fanatics take care of each other.

Wonderful. Please get back when the dieties worshipped by the Dalits are not stacked and required to be cleansed and apologies proffered to the Lord.
Also when the high priests are Dalit. Your purported innocence is more hazardous / vile than V. Gopalakrishna's blanket accursation of the BSP & RPI.
It is people such as yours stupidity that will ensure the merger of RPI and BSP.
It is your blindness that causes India to be the most reserved democracy.
I pray as Ganapathy Janardhanan does but am cynical for the road to hell is paved with good intentions.

but do you know that this CM of AP (who is a converted Christian himself) has got acres of land allotted to a Church within the TTD land. this led to a great furore because as per TTD Act constitution there is a restriction on this. but the congress had brazenly done this. iam not rumour mongering but this is a fact which was not well publicized by our leftist leaning media.
