Respect others
by sanjay nair on Jul 15, 2008 09:54 AM   Permalink | Hide replies

Patna was once the capital of the greatest empire that ruled India. Megasthenes has been quoted saying that it was the greatest city in the world at that point of time. History will repeat itself. Bihar and patna will regain its lost glory.

Raj Thackeray's grand children will have to go and stand in a line for a job in Bihar.

you are right. Hope it rgains it's glory....India will be changed for good if that happens....but for that to happen people and politicians of bihar and UP need to realize this and their potential....they are hard working people for sure but it is also true that majority of the labor class from these states have got very low level of mentality.....this needs to be changed. They should start taking pride in calling themselves Bihari instead of feeling ashamed about it. I have seen when you call a person from Bihar a Bihari...he too gets agitated.....:)

its not about being tired of past glory....the discussion here is to regain the past glory....which is a fact.....what's the problem with that? unless they start thinking about it....how will it change? for anything to happen...it needs a thought first..isn't it?

It was not just greatest city iof the world at that time but also the the capital of first democracy of the world.
India was first ever made as a country under no other than mauryans..and before christ and even after christ upto 300 BC it was Patliputra who ruled the world and was capital of India.
It was might of Mauryan & Magadh empires that no western invader ever imagined to attack India, Alexander had to face defeat even and return and die with ehavy wounds.
During regime of Ashoka and Samudragupta ..India was from Iran in west to Malaysia in east, China( whom today india cant even imagine to defeat) to Srilanka in south ...all accepting themselves under the great empire of Magadh..whose capital was Patna.
Worms like Raj Thackrays survive fior a while only..as they die in their own dirt!
Recently University of Pune had released the family history of Raj Thackray..and foudn that this entire Thackrays clan is non marathi and just 2 generations back it had shifted to Mumbai from madhya Pradesh. The grandpa of Raj Thackray was not a marathi but a migrant fro madhya Pradesh who had come to mumbai in poverty and search of job!
The same migrant family is today trying to do mischives on any possible line of divison!
