Mr.JAI, Marathi is a sweet language with lots of literature from the time of Bhakti movement of Sant Tukaram and Gnaneshwar itself and will survive till eternity. It is just foolishness to think that Mr. Raj Thackeray is the protector of the same.

TILL TODAY WE WERE NOT FORCING BUT NOW YES. OTHERWISE GO BACK TO YOUR STATES. DEVELOP YOU STATE THAN MAHARASHTRA. DON'T BURDEN ON SINGLE STATE.

First of all...you don't have any right to throw someone out of maharashtra...it is a part of country India.....and what makes you think that I am in maharashtra....this rediff site is on the internet and whole world has access to it....do you think only people from maharashtra read and write comments on it???? what you saying is laughjable.....

That was not due to the magnanimity of the moughals. They were also like the politicians of our time. How they could have ruled by antagonizing about 92% of the population (the muslims were about 8% only at that time). Btw the Moughals ruled some parts of India for about 400 years only.

In fact Mumbai consisted of seven Islands given as dowry to a Britisher by the French. Only the "kolis" are the original inhabitants of Mumbai.

dear jai mumbai does not belongs to maratha for your kind information it belongs to konkani community and one more thing your dear thackeray brothers have migrated from madhya pradesh. ok keep this in mind. you should go away from mumbai first of all or otherwise try to speak konkani not marathi.

it seems you are not aware of the history properly....Yes they tried their best to derstroy hindu culture.....converted forcefully....levied huge taxes on hindus....etc etc....but they could not destroy it completely as the roots of hindu culture are very old and strong...
