To my knowledge, Marathi is taught from Std. III in English medium Schools in Maharashtra as per the ciriculam of State Govt.
Forcing a small child of 5 years to learn two or three languages is just curelty. What good is that going to for the local language or the child for that matter?
And of course these politicians and so-called guardians of culture are hypocrites. They send their children to the best English medium Schools and wants the children of the poor to rot in Municipal schools.

Rightly said, Their siblings education is over, why will they care for others.They stomach is full why should they care for others.These hypocrites don't understand they are Indians first and regional next. Infact Our soldiers need not search for terrorists in Kashmir, but certainly will find in Maharastra.
