All the net folks and media persons always praise MMS, the great, for his economic reforms. Do You know what is the net result of so called reform? Poor has become poorer and rich (like me) has become richer.836 million Indians live on a per capita income of less than Rs 20 per day. I am sorry I cannot call it reforms. Let us come to Nuclear Power. Now it is going to be the -Bijli of Aam Admi (Congress Spokes Person). The electricity from a coal-powered station is Rs. 2.50 per unit and the cost of electricity from the imported reactors will be Rs. 5.10 per unit. So clearly It is not economically feasible. Now about Great USA, Look what has happened to the countries that accepted American hegemony unquestioningly. Look what is happening to Pakistan. The country was used by the US in every possible way. Now, the USA is the only Krishna and we are all expected to dance to its “bansuri’, the way the blue-turbaned Manmohan Singh doing. Any man who has self respect and rational view should agree with me. You can easily call me –Chinese Stooge. But for me whether you are a Chinese Stooge or American, it hardly matters. Please become a true Indian. Though I understand the dilemma of Cyber babus, they are slaves to US for few dollars . My view is not for NRIs who have got nothing to do with Indian interest and for UBI (unfortunately born in India)People. My request to the people of Shining India, please think for suffering India.

"Any man who has self respect and rational view should agree with me"... Since you have already decided it for us, who are we to oppose... I respect your fool's paradise mentality which has decided that either the people supports me, or they are dumb antinationals.... Kudos

Hey, did US ever say that its only doing the deal to help and uplift India? Both countries have mutual interests, and we know US's reason. It want to have its impact on one of the fastest growing economy in this reason... But if a person is just fixated on what US is gaining and neglecting what we are about to gain, which is a lot, then isnt that just narrow mindedness.. Nuclear power is going to be very important in coming years, and its an opportunity we shouldn't blindly refuse..... I am not saying we should blindly accept it, but we need to see the bigger picture and talk it over rationally.. And by "we", I mean our esteemed leaders..

you can produce nuclear energy by thorium also. not only by using thorium you can produce energy but also can produce fissile material, but the only problem is that the design of fast breeder reactor is difficult. so our scientist should concentrate on that.

Dear George,
Poorest in India is still Poorer. i.e. 400 (1/3rd) million consume just the equivalent of one meal a day. It was only 300 million (1/4th) a few months back till inflation pushed upto 100 million lower middle class below the poverty line.
Please ask me for verifiable multi source statistics, SO THAT YOU CAN DISOWN US ONCE AGAIN.
I am ashamed of such good weather indians such as you.

On this occassion you will find very few people having "self respect" and "rational view" like you. Also, you will hardly find any "true Indian" supporting your views except some bitter and wrinkled communists. My sympathy with you!!!

smarajit sarkar :Your views are highly appreciated. But people who are supporting the Agreement are also not fools. They might have thought about everything before reaching a conclusion. Even our ex-President supports it. Can you suggest any alternative to rescue our ailing energy sector? I am sure MMS will take into account all the security factors before signing the 123. Let's hope for the best.

What you have quoted is not 100% correct. You have to think about future. We had steam run cars with maximum speed of 15 miles per hour now we have cars with gasoline running at lightning speed. Why not we continue steam engine cars...??? My dear friend please wake up from deep slumber. Think of reality. First please understand the advantages of nuke deal before talking about disadvantges.
