The Congress ,by partnering with the SP has put itself between these perenial foes. In doing so it has exposed its flanks by both the UP parties and bodes ill for a national party. It has become completely compromised with these opportunistic politicians who are totally self serving and care a fig for the nation or the national interest. These two (Mulayam and Mayawati cannot see beyond their immediate short term gains. It is a bad omen for the country to be held to ransom by these two political parties from UP. The Congress has only itself to blame by following a mulish one track policy on the Nuclear Deal and signing up with the worst of the political opportunists that only a state like UP or Punjab can produce.
