Country interest is of prime importance. Kennedy.

I am neither a fan of the congress,BJP or the Left parties. However as we look forward in making our nation a self reliant nation I think India should sign the nuclear deal. As a country we need energy to develop and if we cannot generate the necessary amount required to progress then we are moving back at least 10 yrs. Today if industry needs to perform at its optimal level it needS energy. There are states that are involved in load shedding which means the common man suffers. Why should such a situation arise even after 60 yrs of independence?
For the sake of the countries progess all parties should let the government sign the nuclear deal and for Gods sake let this country of ours progress.

After two years of debate it should be clear to you that this 123 Deal is not about electricity but about nuclear weapons programme of India, which USA wants to eliminate by luring India to sign a version of NPT; that is exactly what India did when it has signed the IAEA treaty, which is not any different of the treaty what Iran or Thailand had signed.

US & western world has hidden agenda. They are planning to slave us in the name of nuclear energy. Let it be 10 years behind the world but self suffient & self reliant nuclear fuel will take us 20 years forward from them. It's better to bargain on our own terms rather than always follow whatever they command for the sake of n.fuel.

India had the capabilties in 1958 but still India never tested a nuclear devise until 1974 - after that all nuclear cooperation were banned.

China tested in 1962 and went on to become a member of security Council.

My point is - why are all the Western powers interested in getting the present deal to happen.

Can we again test nuclear devices?

if yes...would they again ban any further nuclear cooperation?

How can the world stop Porkistan and China to get into a better deal than this?

Would this deal guarantee India place in the security council?
