There is a clear failure on the part of our policy makers. We are stuck with unemployed leftists and a cowardly goverment.India must call Pakistan's bluff. After being almost openly blamed by eveyone including Afghanistan for their role in the Kabul blast they want to divert attention by making some noises about Kashmir. This is the same country which has spent all its money earned from US for fighting Russia once upon a time , and then Taliban for formenting trouble in India in a huge way in Punjab,Kashmir,N.E for 20 years. Whenever they are cornered they hoodwink us. Kashmir should be redrawn with POK on our side. The Hurriyat leaders should be locked behind bars and the keys thrown into the Indus. If Pakistan has so much affection for them they should look for the keys. What is unfortunate is that Pakis with their Saville Rows and Sherwanis are the the most sophisticated beggars in the world and each time they come back from America with some goodies. They use that leverage to threaten us and we behave like softies. Each time an incident happens we should not blame Pakistan ( the whole world knows they are responsible!) . Instead we should summon the US ambassador in India and ask for expalanations. We should summon the Chinese ambassador when they test a long range missile. Its high time we started thinking out of the box for a change!!!!In any case we get bullied by all countries big or small .Why dont we also be a little firm in our dealings and see the consequences.

very well said, ithink not only india shud not react and blame pakis for everything they need to update there intelligence in a big way... from the look of it i guess we lag behind in a lot of aspects of intelligence gathering, action taken on intelligence and also the time has come for india to show its neighbours who da real big brother is in the neighbourhood by some fine thinking on the part of intelligence setup and than leave it to our special forces namely nsg and elite commando groups in da army to execute some swifts endeavers accross into our neighbours, its high time we also start playing proxy proxy, wat r these guys trained for? and y not retaliate by playing proxy? im sure guys sitting in strategic studies institutes know wat im talkin bout? a bloddy country like bangladesh which was created wid our help is harbouring terrorist groups like huji and all our intelligence set has to say after every attack in we had given prior knowledge to the state and they failed to act on it. bloddy if u cant gather good enough intelligence thn atleast cross da borders and do da hot pursuit.... atleast try this option in proxy. if nothing else is working u have to do it. till how long we and the people of this country suffer at the hands of this minisicule population belonging to a particular community which openly says tht for it religion comes first than the nationality. its high time we flex our economic might.

Learn to be aggressive, focussed and committed like Israel, China and other Western countries. Forgive sometimes but never forget anytime ... Have real threat perception and plan ahead. Partition was one of the best things that happened which allowed the separation of psychiatric patients. In some cases unification does not solve anything. As long as Islam does not civilize and secularize itself with Uniform Civil Code and Gender Equality, these problems of Kashmir, Pak, B'desh, Terrorism will continue forever. Partition allowed India to develop and should be maintained. Colonization and partition reinstated the values of education, industrialization, secularism, democracy, one-law at least for non-muslim majority, uniform civil code, gender equality, research, development, science and technology and India continued on the same values of human civilization. Muslims always had a choice to change themselves but instead they want to live separately and those who didn't still want status-quo in the form of personal codes etc. But did they gain anything. Finally, religion is about pushing for higher values and not really status-quo, in terms of what is written in a book and pulling oneself down eventually with lower values. Who divided India? And what was its basis. It was religion. And this misguidance, is now an universal phenomenon. The Europeans & Americans have realized it now. So, they are singing a different tune. Don't drop guard, keep watching as the drama unfolds. Pakist

Pakistan was formed in a box called medieval Islam, so what is there about out of the box, between a flexible modern secular democracy with one law, uniform civil code and gender equality vis-a-via a rigid theocratic orthodoxy of - my way or highway. How do you compare? We are not even comparing apples & oranges here.
