Just imagine the following; 1. India is banned to deal with any country for nuclear technology. Why? India is not signatory to NPT. 2. India has tested device twice in violation to NPT. 3. India had faced sanctions on nuclear technology from all countries after 1st test in 1974. India faced the situation. Then also testing was not permitted, even now it is not permitted. Except for 5 states. 4. Thru this deal India gets exposed to N-commerce, N-techology and fuel supply. We should see the brighter side. What happens in future should be understood, but not made as a limiting factor for not signing the deal. 5. With this deal our N-reactors would start producing power is a big gain.
We have to accept the fact; When you get something, you need to give something in return. Here since there no compromise on India's strategic security, lets go ahead.
Go ahead PM and the present government. Even BJP will go ahead with this deal if it comes to power, with this text and no changes.

You are right. India should not be left behind in the nuclear(tech & power) race. But most people in India don't have a clue of it's basic importance, sadly. If only the congress took some efforts to give good education to the children in the 50 years or so they ruled, instead of being so much bothered about swindling taxpayer money into swiss bank, they wouldn't be in a quagmire that they are facing now.
