Real problem is population & not the deal
by Ram Sharma on Jul 12, 2008 10:14 AM   Permalink | Hide replies

Real problem of the country is high population and its high growth. The population is growing in the world, China & India @ 1.2, 0.6 & 1.6% respectively. China has been able to control its growth with one child norm since 1979. But our govt foolishly is not promoting family planning at all. We should also hv one child norm.

The population is increasing mainly in poor families of Hindi belt and specially in poor families of Muslims, which needs special attention.

Family planning is not anti Islam, as Iran is also forcefully following it after Khomeny's era.

We hv only 2.4% of world land but 16% of its population and still increasing, though natural resources r limited, giving rise to prices, scarcity, traffic jam, air and water pollution, deforesting, dropping in sub soil water table (resulting in collapsing of top earth in some places) etc. Still the govt is not serious in this regard. UN is also worried due to populaion growth, as world population has increased from 79 cr in 1800 to 670 cr now.

Congress is hurrying for the n deal to divert peoples' attention from burning problems like galloping inflation.

Your understanding of the issue is tunnel visioned. You do not see the link nuclear has with inflation, fuel price or India's growth story.

Nuclear power is one of the long term strategy to controlling inflation by reducing our dependence on fossil fuels and gases

:-)

My CLONE:

Yeah Nuclear power is certainly linked to inflation, mortality rate in the Timbuktu, the length of China wall, the seven wonders of the world, to the height of Eiffel Tower, and what not.

Some economics experts (I believe MY CLONE included) were preaching on this forum that inflation is a global phenomenon and cannot be controlled by Congress government -- it's something to be blamed only on BJP government whenever it comes in power.. :-)

Now I see MY CLONE challenging Ram Sharma's tunnel vision... my clone -- if you reduce population, the dependence on fossill fuels will automatically reduce...

Hope you have some IQ left (stealing and persisting with my name indicates otherwise though) to start listening to some sense that people like Ram Sharma bring to this forum..

Otherwise your types will certainly take the country in pre-1947 days.... awaiting General Dyer to set things right with his troop of shooters.. ;-)
