1). Who is Ms Renuka Choudhary to speak for Talwars? They know their rights well. Minister's utterance is politically loaded. If BSP was supporting Congress on nuke-deal, such statement from the minister would not have come. 2). Media too needs to see its conduct in the entire episode. Especially the TV crossed all limits of decency. It violated Talwars privacy. It was insensitive to the reputation of a girl who is no more. It feasted on human tragedy and only cared for its TRP. 3). The Police has once again proved that it is an organisation which is not in tune with norms of civilised world. The IG Meerut Zone press conference was nothing but a crass attempt to sensationalise the tragedy. Why must police succumb to media pressure? Every police officer wants to be media savvy without having anything worthwhile to tell. 4). CBI's clean chit to Dr Talwar does not mean that he has come out clean from the entire controversy. There are still many unanswered questions. Arushi-Hemraj murder has thrown up many issues and the foremost amongst them is - how much liberty the media should take in a civilised society?
