Nuclear Deal
by INDER KRISHEN WALI on Jul 10, 2008 10:37 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

It is beyond my comprehension to understand that why did Mr. Man Mohan Singh waste Two and a half years trying to console & cajole immature Commies who don't understand ABC of International Politics and Strategic Alliances. This decision should have been taken by him two years back. Moreover if the Opposition Parties in the Parliament were trying to play cheap Politics i.e. the policy of opposition for the sake of Opposition then The Congress could have come out in the open and asked for a REFERENDUM from the general masses on, " whether we should go in for accepting the Nuclear Deal in the Interest of the nation as a whole. - YES/ NO ". (After all now we have electronic voting machines. It would have consumed maximum ONE MONTH. It would have further saved the country from un-necessary expenses on account of conducting huge expense on full fledged elections). I am dead sure that the masses would have voted 80% in favor of Man Mohan Singh..... That would have left the opposition fending to save its face and we would have clinched the deal long back... That would have given remarkable impetus to our Industrial & Agricultural Growth. anyway better late than never....!!!

Let the govt. have a referendum.
It is surely gonna be a big 'NO'. If those who claim that the large majority are for the deal, why didn't (or still doesn't) resign and call for election with the nuclear deal as the main issue??

It's all about timing, my friend!

Left and UPA all know about it.
