If the current world trend of oil prices continues for even next 2 years, we will seriously and literally have horse-trading and maybe even a stock exchange for the same - HSDX.

Of course.A lot of glitter of modern time(last 100 years) is because of oil ie. gas,plastics,etc. and oil is sure going to run out sooner or later.May be sooner than later since oil abuse has increased dramatically.
If you analyse all the comforts around the majority is oil dependent & unreplacable by anything else.Give a generation or two.
