Godon ka saudagar!
by Ramesh Kapoor on Jul 10, 2008 08:15 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

Although I have been against dynastic politics, and I believe in true democracy, I think in this instance the N Deal is beneficial to India. Opposition for the sake of opposition does not serve well, and NDA should propose certain riders when the issue is debated in the Parliament, like having full rights to explore nuclear weapons for self-defence. But it looks like that the UPA wants to railroad the issue without seeking mandate of the parliament. This is wrong. As for the vote of confidence, that should have been a second issue, and not the main item.

UPA is just trying to divert people's mind from the 12% inflation and all around cost increase. They need some issue to claim to the people in the coming election. That's why this hue and cry. The timing is definitely politically motivated and when the motivation is not good, things will fail. UPA has failed miserably in all fronts for common man and left is equally responsible for the same. Not left is trying to save face. It's all about election and nothing else. Nobody wants to do good for the country, it's only dirty politics.

Nuclear deal is good for the country. All parties should support it unanimously and fight later.
