I trust Manmohan
by IITMViper on Jul 10, 2008 01:44 AM   Permalink | Hide replies

Given his exemplary track record as FM during 1991 onwards which bailed us out of a deep crisis and impeccable honestly amongst such a corrupt lot, I fully trust whatever he is doing is good for the country.
Remember how the left opposed the induction of computers in the 80s and 90s , that and many such unfortunate incidents later must have proven their blatant obstructionist opportunist attitude by now.
Infact, among the current crop of virulent ministers, Manmohan stands out because of all of his stellar qualities. Left by opposing him are only making a fool of themselves.

toppling of bihar govt and impose president rule after the election - for which president kalam is on record - was to resign... was also his act of vilance - and as told by the supreme court - gross violation of constitution - was also his act...
Toppling of Chattisgarh and goa govt with the same token was also his act of constitution violence.
Don't be fool - PM is being used. During 1991 he had the freedom to act - right now he is the slave of Sonia...
the 1991 FM would never do that to Bihar, Goa and Zarkhand. But he did. Why?
Don't be blind. You have to assess each incident with open eyes.

HIS THIS ACT is alos gross violation of constitution - he can not take any major political decision - while in minority - left has pulled out - this is also a violation of constitution. A minority govt can not make any international treaty - when his govt is being toppled for the same reason.

And if you PM is so honest why is he afraid to share with opposition the exact text - that he shared and signed with foreigners?

Acc to the IAEA rules, only the govt has access to the document. If the left so badly wanted it why didn't they join the govt. ?? isn't it hypocrisy .. they don't exercise the option to evaluate the paper and then cry wolf about not being shown the document !!

First of all, its easy to make wild allegation that somebody said something. Prove it, if u can that is !
Secondly, who else do u think built the railways and all the remaining rudimentary infrastructure that have been rotting away ever since the brits left.

Lets make this straight -Left hasn't done anything all of a sudden. Even though I dont like then even 1%, but I believe that they are the one party which keeps their pricinples/word may how foolish, outdated they are. They have made no secrets of the fact that they will not allow this nuclear deal to go through with their support and they stand by that. And dont be foolish by reading too much into the latest developments - it is just a exit plan worked out between cong and left, way before. Both these outfits cant face voters in the elections WB and Ker as allies. So before the elections they had to get seperated and this was the best political medicine they had.

No ! you got this wrong. Even if left withdrew the support there is no threat to PM for 6 months. Because our very own 'president' will facilitate the time some way or other. And if nothing works , still he will be the head of the state as a care taker. So he had nothing to lose - got it ?

you have no idea .. left has drawn support, not staged a coup.

At home or abroad, Manmohan singh will be PM until the day he loses confidence of lok sabha ... then, he has to resign.

And also Left had warned the govt that if they are going ahead for G-8 [PM had said that he will go to G-8 only if he is given free hand to go ahead with the N deal] then they will withdraw support. So its foolish to get sentimental to think that left dumped him while on foreign soil - dont say he wasnt warned!
