Why we need nuclear weapons?
by Bhargavan Sundaram on Jul 09, 2008 12:37 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

As we claim that we are a peaceful nation and as our history shows we've never shown any aggression towards others. Then why do we need a nuclear bomb. Think we are a nation of more than 1.2 billion people, do you really think our neighbor in the north and west would wage an open war. It'll only be proxy, its not 1962 the world has changed a lot. Kargil was a mistake on our side that we did not protect our borders. So I would say all the claim that we lost our ability to test is a waste. If India can wash its hands off the nuclear weapon option, we'll set an example to the rest of the world.
