UP & DOWN
by Upadrasta PardhaSaradhi on Jul 09, 2008 12:36 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

Here people are jumping up and down without reading what adwani said in the above artcile.
BJP doesnt have a problem with this deal, and Adwani is not opposing the deal, he wants a clear cut discussion on this deal about the positives and negatives in the parliament, which is the highest house in the country. If parliament is not taken into consideration, this agreement has no value.

you should try to build a consensus with the political parties especially in the opposition benches about the main features of the Indo-US nuclear deal. But Congress even doesnt care about showing what is there in the deal and this PM is taking this as a personal prestige without thinking about nation's future prospects.

FYI, BJP is the one who started negotiations for this Neuclear deal. BJP is always clear that Politics shouldnt effect the long-term foreign and economic policies of the nation.

Every one is clear that this deal is beneficial for India, but only thing people wanted to know is what clauses we have that can hurt India in the future. Thats the basic bottomline point here and every common man in India have the right to know whats there in that agreement, easpecially the clauses that effects in the future.

We need answers what happens if India do a nuclear test in the future? Will this agreement prevents it? or there is any way where India can negotiate?

Until and unless this is explained in public atleast in parliament , you can not have such agreements

Says you... Wotz Pratibha rubber stamp there for?... do you think Kalam was dumped without any rhyme or reason?

That's why in the capacity of the leader of opposition, Advani has to make noise of the highest order so as to avoid some funny stuff... and if you read beyond the title of the article (which is what everyone has read and is jumping up and down), he has appealed to the President as well to ensure vote-of-confidence is held..

You can never tell what magic tricks might happen when Congress is involved -- including the Sonia hater Mulayam appearing on her side, what to say of Sonia blessed Pratibha?

You are right, nobody is against the deal but everybody wants to know the clauses. PM has taken its as his prestige issue as he got this great country as a dowry.

I never saw BJP opposing the deal. Yes, they want clarity before it is signed.

The suspicion here is that MMS is in extreme hurry and acting in haste. There no emergency situation here that if the deal is not signed now, we are finished.

The way MMS is acting in hurry (rather panic), he may commit some mistake that would prove costly for the country in the longer term.

His continued ignorance of the main opposition rasies suspiscion behind the deal.
