The policy of India arming the weak govt of karzai will backfire in long run, like US arming of islamic fighters against soviet union. India should not meddle in such a volatile situation.

i think india should continue to support karzai goverment by restructuring afgghanistan . which will give india platform to counter pakistan from other isde also. also karazai goverment is elected and democratic .there is no harm to support this goverment.

Then what is the best policy, Prem Padro? India is involved in many ventures in Afghnaistan; the military phase is a puny one. Indian aid may be the best in terms of dispersal and effectiveness.
