Thought Provoking

Dr. A.N.Prasad's observations are thought provoking. If everything about the nuclear deal was hunky dory why such fears from knowledgable people of such eminence.More over, can someone educate me as to by what time this nuclear deal would ensure "A NO POWER CUT" existence. Can augmenting power generation only, without a matching sustainable distribution network really pull us out from the dark ages?

You got a point there Udayan. The Govt is currently only talking about 100% power, but to generate such power it takes some raw material - read fissle material. So where are we going to get that from? Now that is where the US can potentially play politics. Although I am not aware of the nature of the deal, it could very well be that you build 10 reactors at the cost of $200 million per reactor and then not have enough fuel to feed the reactors, which means that India will be in Debt for ages to come for all the funds that it has drawn from Big-Brother US for building such facilities
