9) Removal of 10 per cent cap on voting rights for investors in non-state banks

11) Relaxation of land ceiling for foreign realty developers

12) Easier entry norms for credit rating companies

13) Higher foreign equity in asset reconstruction companies

14) Higher equity for foreign firms in state-run refining projects

15) Higher foreign equity in newspapers and current affairs periodicals

kya bakwaas kar rahe ho miyan...
The "reforms", as u put it, are but a viewpoint. As you might be knowing, all the bills and issues etc are put in the Lok Sabha first and the matter is debated out keeping in mind the pros and cons... Only then it is given a go ahead...
Don't say anything unless you are sure...

These are the items on congressi agenda--anything for aam adami...basically India is on sale as per Congressis.

For example--do you know how many foreign banks there are in UK, USA? These countires don't allow any foreign bank but want India to open its banking and insurance sector..why?

Dont be afraid of foreigners. We are better than them. We dont need to be protected from them. Openingup of sectors to foreign competition has only made indian companies competitive internationally and they are now able to compete well in even developed markets. Do you want our companies remain protected producing ambassador cars for 40 years with no innovation or do you want indian companies like Tata Motors taking on the world with innovations like nano.

mr..if foreign realty companies buy land in India, the prices will be out of reach even more than what we see now.

even Indian Real Estate agents are doing this brother...
and as for your previous question, SBI and ICICI do have branches across the globe.
