These commies in India are such a hopeless lot. They support lazy people and harass the hard-working industrious ones. I know this very well as I am from Kerala.
It is very important to note that India is hardly a threat to the US. The US does not care one bit if this does not go through. I am in the US and this does not even feature in the presidential campaingns going on. The benefits and the risks are all for India. Some US companies will get an opportunity to make money. But then we'll get access to the fuel that'd allow us to invest more in nuclear energy. This will result in better technology over the years and will improve our ability to research into weapons later, if needed.
Sign this deal and align with the US. Take a look at all the countries that have aligned with the US versus ones that aligned with the commie undemocratic Rusians and Chinese. Ditch communism for ever and deport all commies to China.

I do not buy your implied suggestion that says those that allied with the US have gained any thing from that country. I do see not even one country that has really benefited. Once you become dependent on the US, she will start interfering in all your affairs.
Yes, nuclear issue is altogether a different issue, and I support it on its merit. But can we make the US adhere to all those that that country has promised in it, in future. That is a big question. She will surely invent some thing or other for defying any rule or treaty, if she found, at any time, any thing that does not suit her. It is for sure.

Some naive judgements are made by our politicians and their supporters. The NRI,s in USA being too emotional and want the two countries to get closer, but at what cost to the Indians living in INDIA. WILL THE AMERICAN NRI'S BE HAPPY WHEN WE BECOME SLAVES TO USA.

Can you explain the context in which INdians in INdia will become slaves to the US? Lets say the deal goes through. How can the US interfere in our internal matters? Explain the whole scenario.

Debo, have you seen the behaviour of the UK in all these years vis-a-vis the US? Even the France and Germany have toned down their voices. Do you see the condition of Pakistan & Afghanistan? Have you ever seen Philippines, Saudi or Australia, speaking out against any single policy of the US? You may remember during Iraq war of Sr. Bush, the lady solders of the US were seen moving around in bikinis in the Saudi, when that was NATO's Central command. And after long persuasion, US did heed to restrict these beauties to within their Camps. You must be well aware about this. I have seen those clippings on BBC. Can you imagine an Indian girl doing so there? She would be lynched to death in no time, along with all her relatives there.
No, None of the countries that allied with the US had gained. And none will be.

And what did Russia, China and India who have had no US influence do? Nothing! The fact is that US is too powerful, both militarily and economically, to be affected by any other country. Unfortunately thats the current situation.

Which is why the trio is building up an alliance to counter the US, say in 2030.
Treaties and deals are OK, but it is too dangerous to keep a wolf in place of a Dog while seeking extra security of the house.

What Anup Nair is talking about is not about US interfering in the internal matters of India but the Foreign Policy.
